| I saw this DivX film Asterix Versus Caesar at least a hundred times. Very well written with great animation. This is much better than the other trash cartoon emitting today. And even how it was destroyed Coliseum.: 0) |
| Obelix develops a crush on a local girl only to discover that she has a boyfriend. When the girl and her partner were caught by the Romans and taken to the army outpost, Asterix and Obelix set out to free them no matter what it takes. Their search takes them into the Roman army, through the deserts, in school and against Gladiator Julius Caesar himself. Where most of the Asterix films are iffy, those who stay close to the books can not go wrong. Most of them are fine, but some do not and suffer. This is a combination of at least two books - Asterix the Legionary Asterix and v, s Caesar and therefore is not as good as any book, since it has some new elements. But it is not terrible and much of the ingenuity of the original (s) comes through. The animation is also better and has the depth and shade in it, but sometimes the colors are far from satisfactory. Even the voices are better than usual - Obelix, but still makes a fool child! This is a minor complaint but the majority of which is good. In general, it is not terrible, but the mix of stories and wandering away from the source of many annoying fans. Oh, and opens and closes with the Euro-pop cheesyiest never .... Disgusting! |
| As the bob moo notes, "Asterix and the surprise of Cesar" (or "Asterix vs. Caesar" in English) is based on two of the Asterix books. The problem with this Asterix Versus Caesar Comedy film is that the books in question - "Asterix the Gladiator" and "Asterix the Legionnary" - are two of the best of the lot, and one would have a good story in itself, but as a DivX film Asterix Versus Caesar adaptation Pierre Tchernia writer did not favor either one, as well throw in some odd new material (see the wizard in the sauna Obelix hits a point - the first indication that it is ... um ... this is a review little out of place among heterosexuals severely series). The animation is fine, but nothing to write home about, and the hearing of the inhabitants of the small village of indomitable Gauls speak with American accent is distracting (although not as distracting as "Asterix conquer America," the worst of animated films, which our hero was speaking at the Liverpudlian Craig Charles Tone in English release). And note the presence of Plastic Bertrand singing on the opening and end credits (insert famous Belgian joke here). The previous Asterix Versus Caesar Comedy in the series, especially "Asterix and Cleopatra" and "The Twelve Tasks of Asterix," are better, and it's a tough call as to whether this live action "Asterix and Obelix Take On Caesar" is preferable - in terms of putting the characters on the screen and in terms of entertainment and this is a competition, but then again this is not a Laetitia Casta ... |
| Asterix and surprise Cesar (Asterix and Cesar `s surprise) is definitely the best comic Asterix. Capturing the atmosphere and style of classic comics very well and this is a must see if you liked the comic. Those who have read the comic before seeing some of the details of the plot were changed, but it does not matter because the end result is very good. 9 / 10 |
